Calypso is a project of Thanos Sampanis based on an idea that emerged during vacations in the Greek Islands and in an effort to promote beautiful places in Greece from a different perspective, emphasizing on the best way of experiencing your vacations.

The general idea is to provide a number of pictures for each place, presented in Calypso, and also a general presentation of the island/place in terms of places to visit and things to do. This general view comes from personal experience of the writer and it is intended to give you an overview of what is there and how it should be experienced.

As expected, the personal experience of the writer in some cases it can be misleading to the reader or the reader may think that there are other better things to do that the proposed ones. Therefore, none of the views presented in Calypso should be taken for granted, since they are just propositions. Things that we propose you should take into account. The choice is yours.

At the moment we are not directly advertising any specific place, hotel, tavern, coffee-bar, club, bar, etc. The proposed places are being presented based mainly on personal experience and opinion and are not in any way connected with any type of promotion or advertisement of the place.

Calypso is very much based on the experience of its audience, therefore we are very interested in your feedback. We accept feedback and propositions to add new places only from persons who have been there, taken pictures and are willing to contribute to this site without having any other demands from Calypso other than having their name posted next to their picture and/or text. Therefore, after making the appropriate arrangements with the owners of the pictures and texts we are then allowed to present them through Calypso, along with the personal view of the photographer about the place.
